Spiralynk is the brainchild of Ankit Malik, an interdisciplinary artist, creative technologist, and researcher working at the intersection of sound, code, and machine intelligence. Through his alias, he creates exploratory works across algorithmic composition, neural audio synthesis, immersive sound design, and generative audio-reactive visuals. His current practice explores real-time sonic systems powered by neural networks, developing new approaches to human-computer interaction and procedural audio.
He has performed live electronic sets across the UK, Europe, and India, with appearances at Magnetic Fields Festival, Reset Networks, and Algorave India. He has also composed for theatre and multimedia works presented in Cambridge, Prague, and Kolkata.
Ankit has previously consulted as a technical sound designer and audio engineer in the automotive industry, contributing to the development of Acoustic Vehicle Alerting Systems (AVAS) and Sonic Interaction Design (SID) frameworks. His work in this space focused on integrating creative audio solutions with emerging safety standards and future-facing vehicle soundscapes.
He co-founded Bonafide Seven (2021 to 2023), a collective and media production house that amplified artist voices. During its run, Bonafide Seven–supported artists were featured by Rolling Stone India, Wild City, and Rock Street Journal, and the collective led initiatives such as an exclusive interview and fundraiser with Michael League (Snarky Puppy) for COVID-19 relief efforts.
Ankit holds a Master of Music from Berklee College of Music (Valencia), where he graduated magna cum laude, as well as Bachelor's degrees in Creative Music Technology from Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, and Mass Communication and Videography from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata. His work persistently blurs boundaries between artistic expression, technological experimentation, and sonic research, all rooted in a deep fascination with organised chaos as a creative and conceptual framework.
